The short version
PixTuck processes images locally inside Chrome. ClickMinus does not receive, store, sell or use the contents of the images you select. PixTuck Free does not require an account. Pro activation uses a license key and PixTuck does not include advertising or behavioral image tracking. To recover an accidentally closed project, PixTuck keeps its selected images and edits locally on your device until you clear the project or uninstall the extension.
Information PixTuck handles locally
- The specific web image or image URL on which you invoke a PixTuck command.
- Local image files you explicitly add to the open workspace.
- Output preferences such as format, dimensions, quality, filename and background.
- Per-image settings such as crop, rotation, flip, brightness, contrast and saturation.
- A local recovery copy of the current project, including its selected image files, order, source information and per-image adjustments.
- A project folder you explicitly select for an export during the current session.
- Local preferences and entitlement status stored by Chrome on your device.
- Your PixTuck Pro license key, a random installation identifier, the Freemius installation identifier and the last successful validation date.
Processed files, project ZIP files and clipboard output are created only when you request them. The recovery copy is stored in Chrome's local IndexedDB storage and never uploaded to ClickMinus.
Highest-resolution source
When a Pro user enables this feature and invokes PixTuck on a web image, PixTuck may inspect sources associated with that selected image: its current source, responsive sources, common full-size or zoom attributes and a directly linked image. Candidate dimensions are compared locally. PixTuck does not scan the rest of the page to build a browsing profile.
Browser permissions
PixTuck uses Chrome permissions only to provide the actions you request:
- Context menus to show PixTuck when you right-click an image.
- Downloads to save the output you create.
- Storage to remember local preferences, entitlement state and the current project recovery copy.
- Unlimited storage to prevent a project containing large or numerous selected images from being discarded because of ordinary browser storage quotas.
- Clipboard write to copy the image you explicitly select.
- Active tab and scripting to inspect the selected image after you invoke a PixTuck command.
- Host access to read the remote image you explicitly choose to process.
PixTuck Pro licensing
When you activate, periodically validate or deactivate PixTuck Pro, the extension sends your license key, a random installation identifier and the Freemius installation identifier to Freemius over HTTPS. Freemius returns the license status and the ClickMinus product and plan information needed to determine whether Pro should remain active.
No image, project, filename, clipboard content or browsing history is included in a license request. License information is used only to activate, maintain and protect the paid functionality you requested.
Purchases and Freemius
When you choose Buy PixTuck Pro, PixTuck opens a ClickMinus checkout hosted by Freemius. Purchase information—including your contact, billing, tax, payment and order information—is entered and processed on Freemius' service, not inside the extension. PixTuck never receives your full payment-card details.
ClickMinus can access the customer, order, invoice and license information Freemius makes available to software vendors when needed to provide the purchase, license administration and customer support. Freemius describes its own practices in its Privacy Policy.
Information ClickMinus does not collect from PixTuck
- Browsing history or a catalog of pages you visit.
- Image contents, processed files or project ZIP files.
- Account passwords, form data or personal communications.
- Advertising identifiers or behavioral analytics in the current build.
This website
ClickMinus has not added advertising trackers, marketing cookies or behavioral analytics to this website. The hosting infrastructure may process standard request information required to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamps.
Retention and your choices
The current project recovery copy remains on your device until you use Clear, clear the extension's data or uninstall PixTuck. Local preferences and license state remain until you clear the extension's data or uninstall it; deactivating Pro removes the images beyond the Free three-image limit only after you confirm that action. Purchase and licensing records held by Freemius are retained according to its policies and applicable accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and legal requirements. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
PixTuck's use and transfer of information received through Chrome extension APIs is limited to providing and improving its single purpose: saving, converting, adjusting and organizing images selected by the user. ClickMinus does not sell this information, use it for personalized advertising or allow people to read image content processed by the extension.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
